Nickel Alloy Welding Wire

It is mainly used in welding nickel and nickel alloys and also in dissimilar metals. Much attention should be paid during welding:

1: because of its poor thermal conductivity and easy overheating leading to grain growth during welding, lower welding electric current is used when welding.

2. Nickel is extremely easy to brittle by sulfur and lead to form hot crack. So it is essential to not only control sulfur, lead and other elements strictly, but also make good clearances to get rid of the oil, paint, dust and other dirty things on the surface of baseplate before welding.

3.Because of its strong gas porosity sensitivity,it is good to contain some deoxidizer such as lead, manganese, and magnesium in the wire. The length of electric arc should be controlled when welding.
