Mild steel welding wire is machined to the discoid or rod-like shape for supply by the certain method processing. Its suitable for the welding method such as tungsten arc inert-gas welding (TIG), shielded metal arc welding (GMAW). But welding wire is apt to accelerate rustiness in adverse circumstances without strict management control in access and usage process, which leads to affect the welding procedure and mechanical property. Therefore, pay attention to the following points in preservation and usage process:

1. The storehouse storing welding wire should have dry and ventilated ambient condition (suggestion by: storehouse temperature is 1040, maximal relative humidity is 60%); avoid moistness; decline liquids such as water, acid, alkali and the volatile and corrosive matter, what is more, its unsuitable that these matters coexist;

2. Welding wire should be put in the wooden pallet, metal or wooden shelf, not put directly in the floor or tightly oppressed to wall (the distance from Welding wire to the floor or the wall is 250mm at least);

3. When accessing or transporting welding wire, be careful not to break or lose antirust package, especially inner package such as antirust paper and plastic bag;

4. Make sure use up the welding wire after sealing off as soon as possible (within two days). Once bright welding wire expose in air directly, antirust time will shorten greatly (especially in moist and corrosive environment);

5. Hand out welding wire according to the principle first-in first-out in order to cut down stock time as possible;

6. Store welding wire according to category and specification avoiding abuse.
